Ramón Areces Foundation

The Ramón Areces Foundation is one of the most renowned foundations in the dissemination and exchange of scientific knowledge as a means of contributing to the search for solutions to the needs of today's society.

Among its objectives, it wishes to promote scientific research, contribute to the generation of human capital and disseminate knowledge, with the Spanish Orders History Award being one of its initiatives in this field.

The Foundation is represented by its president, Mr. Raimundo Pérez-Hernández.

Talgo Foundation

The TALGO company, a pioneer in Spain in the development of new techniques for transport, launched its Foundation at the end of 2013 with the aim of being a national and international benchmark in technological innovation and support for human training and research.

This independent and non-profit institution firmly believes that History is a teacher of society in all areas, so it enthusiastically took on the collaboration with the Spanish Orders History Prize.

The Foundation is represented by its President, Mr. Carlos de Palacio Oriol.

Royal Association of Hidalgos of Spain

The Royal Association of Hidalgos of Spain was founded in 1954 to group the hidalgos and other nobles in a nobiliary unit of national character.

Its aims are to promote the traditional values of nobility and the principles of Christian humanism; to fulfill the historical obligation of the nobility to serve the Nation, its Institutions and its citizens; to observe a strong commitment to the culture and history of Spain; and to maintain absolute loyalty to the Crown.

Likewise, the Royal Association of Hidalgos of Spain develops cultural and welfare activities. Cultural activities include the organization of courses, conferences and seminars related to history, noble law, genealogy, heraldry and other similar sciences; the creation of prizes to award works related to history; collaboration with public archives; the publication of works related to the aims of the Royal Association; agreements with noble institutions, etc.

Residential and welfare activities are carried out through the foundation and management of a college and three residences for the elderly, agreements with organizations that assist disadvantaged groups and social volunteer services.

The Foundation is represented by its President, the Hon. Mr. Manuel Pardo de Vera y Díaz

D. Ramón Pérez-Maura
