Graduated in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, specializing in Quantitative Economics, in 1989.
Civil servant of the State, she entered by competitive examination in the Senior Corps of Commercial Technicians and Economists of the State in May 1991.
She has developed her entire professional career in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, where she has held different responsibilities. She has been Secretary of State for Economy and Business Support (June 2018-May 2021), Secretary of the Government Delegate Commission for Economic Affairs, Director of the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Economy, Deputy Director General for Economic Policy, Deputy Director General for the Promotion of the Internationalization of Spanish Companies among other positions.
She has been Alternate Governor for Spain at the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the African Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) and the International Monetary Fund, among other multilateral institutions.
He has been a member of the Macroprudential Authority Financial Stability Board (AMCESFI) and has chaired the Commission for the Prevention of Money Laundering, among other Commissions.
He has been member of the following Boards of Directors of Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI), RENFE, CESCE, Expansión Exterior, Real Fábrica de la Moneda y Timbre, SEGIPSA and Empresa Pública de Alquiler.
