He is a journalist, opinion director of El Debate. He worked at ABC between 1989 and 2020 where he was a correspondent in Cairo, editor-in-chief of International and deputy director.
He is the author of the books From the Empire to the European Union: The footprint of Otto de Habsburgo in the 20th century Rialp. Madrid, 1997, from The Possible King. Bulgaria’s Simeon Belacqva. Madrid, 2002 and Memories of a journalist.
Three decades on ABC. lunch. Madrid 2021. He has been a fellow at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University; He has a degree in Information Sciences from the University of Navarra and Old Gregorian (1982).
Since 2001 he has Colombian nationality granted by presidential decree.
