The Spanish Orders of Santiago, Calatrava, Alcántara and Montesa will announce the V edition of the Spanish Orders History Award in 2022.
This international award, committed to the value of history, has become a leading reference in this discipline for several reasons: the relevance of the jury, its high financial endowment and the prestige of the winners of past editions: John H. Elliott, Miguel Ángel Ladero, Enrique Krauze and Carmen Iglesias.
Candidates for the award are proposed by universities with a history department, academies and institutions that carry out the same task anywhere in the world, representatives of collaborating institutions, and each of the winners of previous editions.
The Órdenes Españolas History Award is managed by the Fundación Órdenes Españolas and is supported by the Fundación Areces, the Fundación Talgo, Valmenta and the Real Asociación de Hidalgos de España.
